Achievement Scholarship

2017 Entry

The University of Hull is pleased to offer the Achievement Scholarship, worth £4,000 over three years to UK/EU undergraduate students who have achieved 152 UCAS Tariff Points* from three A Levels or equivalent (not including General Studies).

How is it paid?

The award is paid in cash; £2,000 in the first year and £1,000 each in the second and third years of study, subject to successful progression with an average mark of 60% of above in each academic year.

How do I apply?

You will be automatically considered for this scholarship and do not need to apply directly to the University.

Eligibility

We regret that the following groups of students are not eligible to receive this award:

  • Part time students 
  • Students directly continuing from one course to another (for example from foundation degree onto the second or final year of an honours degree)
  • Students transferring in from another institution
  • Students undertaking a postgraduate qualification
  • Students from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man
  • Students whose fees are paid or part-paid through a sponsorship arrangement
  • Students who have previously undertaken HE
  • Foundation Year students, or students progressing from a Foundation Year to an undergraduate degree 
  • Foundation Degree students
  • Students on programmes where admission is not administered exclusively by the University of Hull (e.g. programmes in HYMS)    

Students in receipt of the University of Hull Achievement Scholarship cannot also receive the Merit Scholarship or Studentship.

In case of student withdrawal, the University reserves the right to reclaim any portion of the award received to which you were not entitled.

* This relates to the new UCAS Tariff Points system which will be used from 1 September 2017.

2016 Entry

The University of Hull is pleased to announce the Achievement Scholarship, a new award for 2016 entry worth £4,000 over three years to UK/EU undergraduate students who have achieved results of 380 UCAS Tariff points from three A-Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent.

How is it paid?

The award is paid in cash; £2,000 in the first year and £1,000 each in the second and third years of study, subject to successful progression with an average mark of 60% of above in each academic year.

During the 2016/17 academic year payments of £1,000 each will be made on 31 October 2016 and 28 February 2017.

How do I apply?

You will be automatically considered for this scholarship and do not need to apply directly to the University.

We regret that the following groups of students are not eligible to receive this award:

  • Part time students 
  • Students directly continuing from one course to another (for example from foundation degree onto the second or final year of an honours degree)
  • Students transferring in from another institution
  • Students undertaking a postgraduate qualification
  • Students from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man
  • Students whose fees are paid or part-paid through a sponsorship arrangement
  • Students on courses funded by NHS
  • Students who have previously undertaken HE
  • Foundation Year students, or students progressing from a Foundation Year to an undergraduate degree 
  • Foundation Degree students
  • Students on programmes where admission is not administered exclusively by the University of Hull (e.g. programmes in HYMS)    

Students in receipt of the University of Hull Achievement Scholarship cannot also receive the Excellence Scholarship, Merit Scholarship, or Studentship.

The eligibility conditions of this award are subject to change.
